Introduction to Media: Media consumption audit


Answer the following questions in as much detail as possible to complete your audit:

Newspapers
  • Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?
       Metro or the guardian
  • What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?
       crossword puzzle- I enjoy completing them.
  • What sections do you never read, and why?
  • What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?
        - Usually the political side because its the most interesting/ the wholesome story
  • Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?
        My dad usually buys the newspapers.
  • Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?
       Sometimes new york times just to see what's going on specifically in the states. 

Magazines
  • What magazines (if any) do you buy regularly?  Why/why not

  • What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why?

Television
  • Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television? 
       roughly 28
  • What device do you use to watch television?
        TV on weekends, my phone on weekdays.
  • What times of day do you usually watch television?
         evenings and Saturday mornings.
  • What programmes do you like best and why?
            Blackish-  Its funny and educational as they talk about black struggle in the US.
            Criminal Minds-  Its super addicting you don't realise you've been watching it for hours.
            Howls moving castle- nostalgia
  • Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch?
         Usually alone but if i do watch it with family, the person who had the remote first decides.
  • Do you watch 'live' TV or on-demand/catch-up? Do you use any other devices to watch TV (such as laptop or tablet?

         yes, whenever i'm in the car.

        i don't have a favourite but our most listened to would probably be LBC
