Blog Feedback and Learner Response

Blog Feedback and Learner Response:

WWW: There is some strong work on your blog already – I like your analysis for ‘Reading an image’ and you use media codes and subject terminology well. You’ve also chosen an excellent advert of your own to analyse. Your media consumption audit is also very good – it’s great you’re reading the Guardian and listening to an interesting selection of podcasts already. Keep this up!

EBI: Two key areas to improve here: firstly, some of your work is unfinished and it’s so important to make sure you are organised and fully completing work. For Semiotics you haven’t completed the second part of the work (Icon, Index, Symbol). Secondly, over the next few weeks try and add to the depth and detail of your blogposts. For example, you could have offered a far more detailed analysis of the two adverts when applying reception theory. This will help you push towards the higher grades.

LR: Complete any missing or unfinished work.

Then, create a blogpost on your Media 1 Exam blog called ‘Blog feedback and learner response’, copy this feedback in and then complete the following learner response:

Reflect on your work in A Level Media so far. What is your strongest piece of work? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

I think my strongest piece of work is 'reading an image' because i had the most to say for that one. However, my weakest piece of work would be the semiotics task. This is because i need to remember and apply more theories to my work. I also need to develop my opinions further.
